There is No Specific Diet for weight loss.

Yes, you read that correctly.

"But what about intermittent fasting" or "keto" or "weight watchers," you might say.

Those are all certainly diets but they have flaws.  They either restrict your eating, cut out major food groups, illicit weight loss that is mainly water, are unsustainable for long periods, make you feel miserable, zap your energy, and the list goes on.

The science behind weight loss appears very simple.  If your calories going in are less that the calories you burn, then you will lose weight.  In its essence that is it; you need to be in a Calorie Deficit.

A calorie deficit is very individual.  It is established by firstly taking into account your age, weight, gender and activity levels and then factoring a weight loss of approximately 1lb / 0.5kg per week.  Once you have this figure, you can then look more closely at what and how much you're consuming.

Diets have been going for many many years and are always so attractive when they promise such quick results.  These super quick results come with problems.  The most successful way to lose weight is to be in a calorie deficit while eating a balanced, varied and non-restrictive diet and moving your body more.

You do not need to cut out food groups that are essential to the normal functioning of your mind and body.

You do not need to feel really hungry.

You do not need to only eat specific foods, like just raw foods.

You do not need to completely cut out foods and drinks you enjoy.

You do not need to suffer through the process!
